In other contexts you might find the term Renminbi, commonly abbreviated rmb.
For easy, tangible comparisons inside our international community we usually refer to prices in USD ($).
One common mistake is that people convert USD to Yen, the Japanese currency. The name might sound similar, but the conversion rate is very different, it's worth a lot less than CNY or USD. You need to make sure you convert to Chinese Yuan (CNY).
