Using the google search with the right search operators can be be extremely effective.

Append _site:taobao.com_ or _site:weidian.com_ to your search query to only search those specific sites.

You'll have an easier time with this if you switch to the image search, as you know what you're looking at without having to speak Chinese.

This works better with Weidian than Taobao because Weidian doesn't censor the item names
